    1. Hello! Of course, he promoted to Oberst in 1917. So he fell one day after the photo was taken?????? The 96.Res.Brig. was under command of 48.Res.Div. (Res.Rgt. 221, 222, 223) 3.7.18-20.8.1918: Battle between Arras and Albert. Throughout August and September the division stood southwest of Gavrelle (north-east of Arras). Erwin, could you please show the entire photo? I´d like to see the austrian Major. Thanks!
    2. Hello! I couldn´t find an Outl. In the austrian ranklist from 1908 are four Ontl (his name sounds like an abbreviation...) Three captains (14.Inf.Rgt., 2.Festungs-Art.Rgt., 42.Inf.Rgt.) and one 1st Lt. in 59.Inf.Rgt. One or more of them probably could have been Major in the war
    3. Hello! He died in 1872. The ranklist 1870/71 notes the following medals: RAO (Großkreuz mit Eichenlaub) KO 1st Klasse m. Schwertern mit dem Emailbande des RAO m. 4. Hello Fritz! Unfortunately there ain´t too much infos about the one, that was given by Austia to the Alpenkorps. Some soldiers bought themselves some badges. It´s hard to say, which one is "original"...
    5. Very nice, indeed! What´s the one bottom left. "Flieger"? I try to collect only those, which could have been worn by german troops. Sometimes I have photos, sometimes it´s juts a guess...
    6. Lucky guy! The turkish one was the most expensive badge in my collection. For several weeks I only had bread and water...
    7. Hello Fritz! Great collection!!!! Which one is the Mackensen one at bottom right, please? German, bulgarian or turkish badge?
    8. Hello! He is listed Oct.21, 1918. 9. Hello! I know, your english is better than mine, but is interwoven not only a verb? I think there ain´t no word for the nominativ "Durchzug"...
    10. Hello! Inf.Rgt.1 had a monogramm. So it´ll be Reserve or Landwehr. Footartillery is possible too. Bavarian units didn´t have the prussian crossed guns. The blue threads are called "Durchzüge" (pl.), singular "Durchzug". Don´t try to find the word in a dictionary, then you´ll find " draught". Durchzug in this kind is an old german word, that is not in use anymore
    11. Of course! I don´t have many infos of that time in that area
    12. My stamp is from Saumur-Gare March 16, 1909, if I read it right... Great infos about the Kingdom of SCS/Yugoslavia forces! SCS means Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes , right?
    13. If it would be photo of the Puff, I' d know... Cornelius street...
