This board needs a shot in the arm so to speak. Have an interesting new cross-over group (Soviet/Mongolian) which I'll be posting this evening. Without the actual awards (unfortunately ) but some very nice (KGB) documents as well as a 100 year Lenin for foreigners document, and also a picture so we'll be able to look this "spy" (?) in the eyes. Hopefully some of the Russian speakers will be able to translate some of the documents as some of the text may be interesting. Natsagdorj... that names rings a bell... Scans to follow later today.

These for foreigners are quite rare, in fact, not even seen a document yet. Are the doc's for foreigners in any way special?

Here's a new documented group with among others: - documented order of red combat banner nr 3379 (1975) - 2 documented combat medals (one numbered No 583) - documented polar star (nr 11593, so long service presumably) - an undocumented (but belonging to the group apparently) other order (screwback nr 2877) - and a bunch of documented medals Awards ranging from mid 40's to early 90's. A long career! The group also came with some other documents which I'll try to post later. Not sure if they have a relationship to this group or are just freebies.
