    1. Interesting--maybe my list is wrong. I would like to here some other opinions on this one.
    2. Interesting cross It is an original cross. This style is believed to have been produced in the 1920s. I have both a Ek1 pinback and a Ek2 version of this cross. Yours is the first screwback that I can remember seeing---ALSO, Friedrich Sedlatzek is a knowen maker of the Ek2 and I think this is the first Ek1 we have seen attributed to him. Thanks for posting this one.
    3. GREAT chain There are awards on it that I have never seen as miniatures before, only full sized. I dream of finding chains with one or two enamel awards--yours looks like an enamel salesmans sampler. WELL DONE !!!
    4. A nice looking cross.
    5. I have no problems with this cross at all. It looks to be as stated--a Prinzen Ek2 on a good Tri-fold ribbon. Very nice !! Here is another with similar dimensions. This one measures 34.3 mm
    6. Eraly 3rd pattern knife with a hand forged blade. Very nice indeed.
    7. I agree--The 1813 Ek2 is NOT a period piece. Years ago we saw a rash of "shaved" 1914s trying to be what they were not. I do not have enough experience with the RAO3 to comment except that it is a great looking piece.
    8. Very interesting!! I had never heard of a woman actually winning a Ek for COMBAT. I was thinking maybe a nurse or aid worker in a combat zone.
    9. This cross is a known FAKE. The easiest way to spot it is to look at the bottom rim (sweatband) of the crown. In all cases it is off center to the right of the of the rest of the crown. These things pop up from time to time on ebay. Like Marshal said ---- Run away
    10. Was there ever a black / white cross awarded to a woman?
    11. I forwarded Tom's pictures to Tony and he has added "R.SCH" to the Ek2 makers list at Kaiser's Bunker.
    12. I agree--good cross. Too bad about the side hooks :banger:
    13. Interesting cross you have there. I have seen several crosses with the 4 hole backplate but this is the first time I remember seeing a 4 post cross.
    14. I am glad to see that both parties came to a mutual understanding.. Especially without any bruised feelings or loss of blood. Rick, I wholeheartedly understand and support you on this. Frank, welcome to the forum.
    15. Nice cross Eric. It shows a lot of charactor.
    16. There are variations. WW1 crosses were still available to vets (and collectors) through WW2. Some companies would put 1914 style cores int 1939 style frames. Sometimes they are refered to as "replacement" crosses. Here is an example of a 1939 sized cross made by B.H.Meyer on left and the smaller standard sized 1914 on right.-----
    17. A Schinckel form cross is a early WW2 EK made from left over WW1 silver frames. This was done utill production could get up to speed on the bigger WW2 style Iron crosses. I do not have an example to show you but do a search and you will find many.
    18. Steve, Very convincing and well executed. Great thread.
    19. I have never seen either of these marks before.
    20. Christer, Those are some nice miniatures. You are right about the details be amazing. I received these last week. Like you had mentioned---not really uncommon but still cool.
    21. I was just about to make the comment about CD800 crosses. I guess I wasn't typing fast enough as you beat me to it Nice cross Mica. I really like the large backplate crosses.
    22. Good question. I was once asked for permission for the use of one of my pictures in it and then was never contacted agian. And speeking of books------------ How about an update on Glenn R's book project.
