    7. Errr... no Ricky, speaking as one with great respect for the aged, as in August 1958, I was just born, and I don't think they let a kid in a diaper through the cat flap Kevin in Deva

    9. Hallo Gents, I too believe it to be an original*, some of the scratch marks on the ice would be consistent with the steel heel piece on his boots!! Any idea what the guy on the left of the picture is holding?? Kevin in Deva. * CAPTION: Hans!, Knees! and Bumpsadaisy!!! Gott im Himmel!!

    12. Hallo Einbauschrank Seeing as you claim this photo has been altered, then you might have considered posting it in the Lounge section, till its authenticity could be proved or disproved as the case may be: My version has been in my reference files section from when it appeared on an ebay auction well over a year ago 2006 Perhaps you will tell us why you think its been altered, an not a period original. Kevin in Deva.
    13. Hallo Gents, this link leads to an online picture Album of a Hungarian Military Doctor who served in WW2 35 pages X 6 pictures each pages, in the Hungarian language- I recognise some pictures has being taken in Cluj-Napoca, Transylvania Romania. http://www.minden-ami-magyar.hu/iivh/index.php?start=0 Kevin in Deva.
    14. I can just see the Recruiting Blurb in the papers: "Ex-Comrades, Male and Female, Tsar Putin cordially invites you to, join today's highly trained, best dressed Russian Military Forces. Perpetuate the Glory of your Fore-Fathers and Five-Mothers. Only skinny people need apply!! ( as we have $4 millions worth of small size uniforms for stick people.) Kevin in Deva.
    15. Hallo Gents the second bag looks like a standard British / Commonwealth WW2 era gas mask bag During WW2 to Post WW2 area we were using them with a more modern respirator in the Irish Army back in the mid 1970s, Is the inside compartmentalised 2-3 sections, for mask, filter, etc.?? Many were converted for use as Medical bags as well with the addition of a white circle and red cross being applied in paint. The serial number possibly a manufacture code, rather than a soldiers serial number as I would expect to see his name beside it. The one Crown and numbers on the front of the Swedish bag probably denotes its use by a specific Swedish Army Regiment Kevin in Deva
    16. Hallo Sivart Hopefully it does not say: Some people have more money than sense Kevin in Deva.
    17. At the Military Commemoration Service in Deva last year on the 25th of October 2007 some WW2 veterans received these Diplomas: Paper being cheaper than commemorative medals Kevin in Deva.
    18. Hallo Ulsterman, the crosses are post communist dictator-ism I will try to find out the exact date. The veterans have a right to wear modern versions of any of the Romanian Royal Medals they would have been entitled too post 1947. The downside is they have to buy them themselves, as many are very poor pensioners, they tend to stick to the basics which is the above medal and vets insignia and save the pension for medication that many of the elderly here rely on. This Lady From Deva, at the age of 19, was a Military/Red Cross Nurse in the Crimea Campaign I have not seen any Romanian veterans sporting any foreign awards locally. I will try to get some pictures of some of the modern repros medals but, be warned they are cheap and nasty!! Kevin in Deva.
    19. The Cross is of course the post communist period medal to Romanian WW2 Veterans, Here its shown with the medal hung in reverse as is often seen on the veterans jackets. The pin-back insignia is for the Veterans of the War against the Fascists. Kevin in Deva.
    20. The answer is: located in the War Veteran Cemetery of Alba-Julia, Romania. Kevin in Deva.
    21. Hallo Gents: Take one of these. Add one of these: And you get ? Kevin in Deva.
    22. Hallo demir, many thanks for the very interesting pictures of this very unusual item Kevin in Deva.
