Some even being ground down so as to obliterate the emblem. The old soldier in me is finding it very hard to resits applying "Brasso" to the buckles. Kevin in Deva. -
Hallo Noor, rescuing lost B.W.M. medals is a Noble cause, I have picked up a couple here in Romania and one in Germany, just waiting for the long ago promised original lengths ribbons to arrive (nudge, nudge, wink, wink, hint, hint!) The value in the U.K. for example seems to be rated on who the guy was and what Regiment or Corps he was with. By the way there should be no RUST as they were not made from Iron Kevin in Deva.

Hallo Gordon, Nice find please see:- http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=2551...n+Tank+Insignia I believe these represent grade or proficiency in the various crew positions in the Armour Corps. I have seen them described as Tank Driver Badges, but, I have never seen a Tank Commander badge which leads me to the above supposition. I am still after a Number 1 badge, here in Romania they are priced at about 25 - 40 Euros depending upon the "dealer". No doubt with a little haggling you can get them for less. Kevin in Deva
