Hauptmann
Wow! Nice one Vic! I remember seeing those in the Sovietski catalog and a few other places. Was very tempted. I keep hoping one will come up on Ebay and that by the grace of God I might actually luck out and get for dirt cheap.Hey... I can dream can't I? Bryan
I was in Moscow last week. I say the heavy version for sale at 3000 RB and the light version (like yours I guess) for sale at 2000 RB I guess. Here is the pictures of both.
Bryan
I know that this type was used on trains. I'm not sure about yours. The seller told me they were used on trains, but I don't thnik so. Yours is different than the one I could buy in Moscow. It looks like the hammer and the other tool (what is the name in english) is in 2 parts. The oldest version is in one piece. But hopefully another one will turn up at a good price. I totally agree with Vic... if you've got them or got pictures of them... flaunt them! jDan

Bryan
This has nothing to do with Soviet train plaques, but I find this border plaque very interesting. I think this is the metalic earlier plaque. Edited September 25, 2006 by Soviet
Bryan
These were later replaced by a plastic version.

Bryan
Nice street sign Order of Victory. I bought a street sign this summer in Moscow. I got it for $25, which I think was a good deal. It is the street Komsomolskaya and it is supposed to be a sign from the '70.
