dond Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 Here is a nice little bar to a Bavarian officer. Please excuse the thingy with the swazes.
VtwinVince Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 Nice one, Don, now show us the really nice one with the Zaehringer Loewen.
VtwinVince Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 Edit: I see the other one on another thread, great little bar with the KO and RAO.
Jacky Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 Beautifull,Where do you find those bars?Kind regards,Jacky
Claudio Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 (edited) Very nice bar Don! The Medallion of the BMVO 4. Kl. mit X seems to be in GOLD... I am not a specialist but it looks like a "Gebr. Hemmerle"... or maybe somebody can correct me!Ciao,Claudio Edited October 17, 2006 by Claudio
Dave Danner Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 Very nice bar Don! The Medallion of the BMVO 4. Kl. mit X seems to be in GOLD... I am not a specialist but it looks like a "Gebr. Hemmerle"... or maybe can correct me!Ciao,ClaudioIt looks like a Weiss & Co. A Gebr. Hemmerle would be marked on the reverse edge of the lower cross arm, which would be a little thicker than on the other arms. The enamel is a deeper blue, as well. This is a Gebr. Hemmerle piece, but unfortunately I don't have a closer scan:
Claudio Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 Yes, Dave, you're right! I didn't pay attention on the reverse.Ciao,Claudio
Gerd Becker Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 Nice Medalbar, Don. I allways liked the combination Bavarian MMO and Austrian MVO
dond Posted October 17, 2006 Author Posted October 17, 2006 It is marked GH 950 where the swords are attatched and GH900 on the swords themselves. The center is gold. Thanks for all the replies.

Claudio Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 to me it looks very good. No problem whatsever with your bar!
Claudio Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 Don,Here's my latest Bavarian Reserve-Offizier medal bar... it's a Godet-mounting!!! Mint... almost the same medals like your bar. Because of the Austrian Milit?rverdienstkreuz 3. Kl. these officers could have served in the same regiment whose chef was the Emperor Franz-Josef I (10th and 13th Bavarian Regiments if I am correct...).Ciao,Claudio
