One of the "most wanted "makers! Not so easy to find one if you want to buy one.......Since a few weeks I've got his brother in my collection.And he wasn't cheap,that's for shure!But a really nice EK,Jan!

Yes, they can be hard to find. I only found one last year after many years of looking.

Maybe my eyesight is going but it looks like the cores are different. Frames and hardware match, no doubt, but cores look different. So my question is... was there more that one core or is my see-sight actually going?

(Yes, the pin is marked '1' but the tarnish almost hides it)

Rich,have you got a straight on shot of your cross?...also can some computer savvy chap do a side by side comparison please?

Here's the comparison.

I think now they are the same. It looks like the date numerals on Jan Arne's are slighly more to the right exposing more of the '1' whereas mine is more to the left slightly hiding the '1'. That and dirt accumulation also make the numerals look a bit different?

What is your opinion?

Yep they look the same to me and I think you are right about the 1,yours is just slightly under the frame I think.

Deschler actually used at least 3 different vores, so these 2 might be different.

1 core variation has a very flat swas, the other one is higher.

They also made round 3 ek's.
