And another search has finally come to an end-not in the condition I prefer my iron crosses,but this maker is really hard to find so I had to take this one.Maybe one nice day I will be able to upgrade this one,but for the moment I'm happy with my "Werner".....to tell the truth I'm really happy that this big hole in my collection is filled now!

Nice find. I have not seen one of these before. Is this the Werner

as in J.H. Werner ?

these are tough to find. my understanding - NOT based

on anything more than heresay - is that they were made

in a very limited number (perhaps a few thousand???)

relatively early in the war.

With a glass you can see the shades of theJ.H. in front of the "Werner".Unfortunatelly the stamp isn't very clear....but it will be really difficult to find another one for an upgrade!

I think you are a little too picky. I don't see a single thing about that one that needs to be upgraded. It is quite beautiful as is.
