don Posted July 1, 2005 Posted July 1, 2005 Looking back I cant find any topics on stickpins.Lets see some
Tom Y Posted July 1, 2005 Posted July 1, 2005 Unfortunately the pin is long gone, but it's still a beauty. ( No, the big'un's not the real deal )
Dave B Posted July 1, 2005 Posted July 1, 2005 Nice looking pins!! I haven't many Imperial stickpins but here they are anyway.CheersDave
Christian L Posted July 1, 2005 Posted July 1, 2005 nice one from anhalt! but wasn't the 1. Klasse not something like a bit "unofficial"?i have believe that there was something about the first class - does someone know more?christian
Tony Posted July 1, 2005 Posted July 1, 2005 These are the only ones I have. I hope the tie pin counts as a pin.Tony
Guest Rick Research Posted July 1, 2005 Posted July 1, 2005 I'm amazed to realize that I no longer have ANY Imperial stickpin minis. I used to own this set, which makes a nice Big And Little comparison. The Hessian Krieger-Ehrenzeichen mini is unmarked silver:[attachmentid=5261]and reverses[attachmentid=5262]Thanks for posting the fine examples of some interesting combinations and scarce awards... I will now be looking for some of these Little Gems myself!
Peter J Posted July 1, 2005 Posted July 1, 2005 nice one from anhalt! but wasn't the 1. Klasse not something like a bit "unofficial"?i have believe that there was something about the first class - does someone know more?christian←Thanks Chris you partycrasher You could be right though, Nimmergut doesn't refer to it as a 1st class, but rather a Steckkreuz.K?ssPeter
Guest Rick Research Posted July 1, 2005 Posted July 1, 2005 Any single stickpin (like an EK) should be "read" as a 2nd Class-- if there was a 1st class, then there would be TWO worn together, like on the combination pins.

A rather strange situation could accure when two individuals were awarded this cross, one with the pin version and one with the one posted below, if wiewed side by side. The latter is offered on a German sales site as a 2nd class.KRPeter
Stogieman Posted July 2, 2005 Posted July 2, 2005 Mike Dunn has a very nice collection of stickpins, but he's busy prowling in Germany right now!
don Posted July 2, 2005 Author Posted July 2, 2005 When he gets back ask him to post some pictures Thanks don
