Monsun Posted December 17, 2006 Author Posted December 17, 2006 the only u-boat badge with screw back I know...
Monsun Posted December 17, 2006 Author Posted December 17, 2006 another picture of Kapit?n z.S. Ibbeken (look the position of the u-boat badge)
Gordon Williamson Posted December 17, 2006 Posted December 17, 2006 Very nice indeed! Especially good with provenance to such a long serving U-Boat commander. First time I have seen a Schwerin U-Boat Badge modified this way.
dond Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 That is a great grouping that reflects the personal tastes of the recipiant. Kepp them together because if they are ever seperated and the provenance lost many will think they are fake.
Jan Arne S Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 Hi !Also for me , first time I se a screwback U-Boot Badge . Jan Arne
Monsun Posted December 18, 2006 Author Posted December 18, 2006 Hello "dond",you can be sure that I will never sell or seperate the grouping. I get the awards direct from the family for my U 178 collection.I collect especially all from and about U 178 and the other "Monsun-uboats". Here are the other awards from Ibbeken.
Monsun Posted December 18, 2006 Author Posted December 18, 2006 You can see on this photo from Ibbeken with a spanish navy officer the small ribbon bar and the "Baltenkreuz" from the picture before.
