Luftwaffe Hard to find arm band.

I have had this item for about 3 years now and every year or so I will post it to see if anyone else has one or to see if anyone has the green ones that go with it as I would like to buy one of those. This is for a Janitor or elevator operator and by the size was made to be worn on an overcoat. Thanks for looking.

I have not seen one of these before. Do you have any more information about it? I do not recall seening a Luftwaffe piece with that style eagle before.

I found the information in Uniforms and Insignia of the Luftwaffe Volume one: 1933-1940 by Brian L. Davis. This is covered on pages 64-65. If you do not have this book let me know and I will try to get the information to you. There is only a line drawing of the armband in the book.

I am only now finding this thread.

From what I can see, a nice example too! From all that I have read(I dont remember the source), the only option could be for a doorman and/or elevator operators for Luftwaffe command buildings in Berlin. This is the first example of such an armband I have ever seen!!! Very nice(and desireable...by me anyway)!! My guess is that I will not see another one any time soon(if ever). Thank you for posting it!
