    Hello :jumping:

I would like to show you all, my Luftwaffe collapsable watercontainer (bag). It's manufactured of the same material, as the inflateable lifewest. The inkstamp states that it's for "Flieger", and that it can hold 5 liters. It's manufactured by "Draegerwerk, L?beck". Does anyone know if this item was packed in a survivalkit, or if it was used by the aircrew, during long flights?

Very interesting water container ! I have been collecting Dr?ger tauchretters and other Dr?ger made items for over 30 years now and I have never seen , or heard of Dr?ger making water containers ! What color is this bag ? It does not look like the color materials usually used by this maker . Can we see some more detailed pictures of the bag and ink stampings ? I looked in several books on LW survival gear and see nothing listed or looks like this , what is the date ? very late war ? The RAF had a similar looking bag so I would think the LW would have it also .

    Hello

Thanks for the kind words. :jumping: The colour of the bag is what I would call, blue grey. It's a bit dirty, looks like storage dust. This makes the inkstamp a bit difficult to read. I haven't dared to clean it. I am not shure if it's early, or late war. Can't find any date. My camera is useless for close ups, so this is the best I could manage. Below I have written down, what the stamp says. The next picture, is of the other side of the bag. It's marked with a white stripe.

    Trinkwasserbeh?lter 5l.

    Bauart: Flieger

Ger?t Nr. : ? (This number is difficult to read).

    Werk-Nr. : 1455

Anforderz. : Fl. 86705 (some of the numbers are a bit difficult to read, bit I think this is it).

Hersteller : Dr?gerwerk L?beck (Some of the letters, are a bit difficult to read, but after closer scrutiny, it looks like Dr?ger).

    Please,

Can you post a close up of the nomenclatura?

Do you have a wartime pic showing one?

    Thanks

    Hello

I have no wartime pictures, showing one of them in use. I have tried to take a picture of the label. I am sorry to say that it's not very good. My camera is not very good for close ups, or maybe it's the cameraman?
