Sal Williams Posted August 16, 2005 Posted August 16, 2005 Jacques , that one is a Junker right?Best, Sal
Guest Darrell Posted August 17, 2005 Posted August 17, 2005 (edited) Jacques, Is that one from Detlev? I thought I saw one like this that he sold last week. Edited August 17, 2005 by Darrell
Bob Hunter Posted August 17, 2005 Posted August 17, 2005 Congratulations on acquiring such a fine specimen!
Jacques Posted August 17, 2005 Author Posted August 17, 2005 Sal, it is a Steinhauer or a Deumer. It is not the cross sold by Detlev .jacques
Marcus H Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 Jacques,I've seen several bronze examples like this set up on the back, the hinge which looks like it's placed incorrectly, almost on it's side the block area facing towards the catch (just my diction in recognition of this type). And the catch being a thick catch. And this pin, the tapered end on the hinge as such. Are the bronze examples more common with this set up ?I've seen a nice silver 900 in a box, I was considering trading up against with a Naval Honour Roll too, still thinking on that one.I'm liking these more and more !!!KrMarcus
Jacques Posted September 3, 2005 Author Posted September 3, 2005 I think I'll stop to post pictures of Spanish crosses or LC items if toooo many guys are addicted to ! The market is not wide enough for all of us
Marcus H Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 You've only yourself to blame Jacques Then Sal and Frank have got me hooked too.I've been looking for the citations (any medal for the LC) no luck there yet.I know a guy who has a nice case, I can't afford it, he's not selling it at the moment but I'll let you know when he does......I'm more after the awards than the cases at the moment (money difference and all)
Jacques Posted September 3, 2005 Author Posted September 3, 2005 Let me know for any boxes, blue, green , red. I've crosses to bed .
Sal Williams Posted September 5, 2005 Posted September 5, 2005 Poor Jacques, the LC fans are growing! Ummmmm,... Marcus... you were looking for cases for your old pal Sal remember? Out of sight out of mind??????? Best, Sal
Marcus H Posted September 5, 2005 Posted September 5, 2005 No no you need a blue one, not green Sal Yours would not be correct in a mid onwards Ldo box.KrMarcus
Jacques Posted September 6, 2005 Author Posted September 6, 2005 I totally agree Markus ! No no you need a blue one, not green Sal Yours would not be correct in a mid onwards Ldo box.KrMarcus←

David Gregory Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 Jaques,Looks like someone has a world domination plan for Spanish crosses. I like your dedication to the LC./David
Gerd Becker Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 Holy Cow, Jacques. Thats the half of the Legion Condor
Jacques Posted September 7, 2005 Author Posted September 7, 2005 No, no, some variants are still lacking !
Scott Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 Jacques - that last picture is the definition of "addiction" - what an unbelieveable photo! I'd like to ask what markings came on an issue cross and what came on a private purchase cross? Which is your silver "835" cross at the top? Thanks. Scott
Jacques Posted September 8, 2005 Author Posted September 8, 2005 I read in a magazine that the first crosses issued from :- Juncker- Steinhauer- Godet- Meybauer- DeumerI suppose the "835" (Steinhauer or Deumer) an awarded piece. But as I said previuosly , the stocks keep on sell later after the parade.jacques
