Bob Lyons Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 Just in from my first night shift, and have a bit of time so here is my latest pick up, from Wetze in Germany,a rather nice black piped Other Ranks/NCO's visor cap, full sweat diamond, but no maker, will let the photos dothe talking, but I am rather pleased with it....Bob
Bob Lyons Posted June 29, 2007 Author Posted June 29, 2007 And another view, with it on a glass head, once it is on the headform it regains it's shape, which has over the yearssquashed in a bit at the rear.Hope you like the photos..

Gene Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 Sorry Bob but I don't like anything about this visor. Shape, materials, lining, all repro I believe.
Bob Lyons Posted July 5, 2007 Author Posted July 5, 2007 Gene,Don't hold back, tell me what your really thinking Well, I trust your judgement implicitly on these caps, so that one goes back to where it came from, and as I type this, it is sitting in it's box ready to head back to the German dealer that sold it to me.I did show some photos of this one to a few of the troops before I made the decision to go ahead and buyit, and all gave it a thumbs up, but I did worry a bit about the shape, thanks for saving me quite a fewdollars.Very best wishesBob
Gene Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 Bob,Thanks a lot. These visors are big money nowadays which makes getting stung all the more worse! I hope its return is problem-free for you--Gene
joetauchretter Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 Hello , I think this is an old hat , but in my opinion not TR era . I do not like the shape of the hat or the chin strap and , maybe this is just the way it looks in the picture but the aluminium emblems look too new for the age of the hat .Best Regards, Joe
Bob Lyons Posted July 6, 2007 Author Posted July 6, 2007 Yes the cap is winging it's way back to where it came from. Many thanksBob
