I remember the days when European collectors desired the top hooks, and many US advanced collectors and dealers thought they were fake (I am talking 5-8 years ago.

Once the subject was settled, the prices went through the roof.

to me, this was the award of a real, "in-the-trenches"

warrior. the reason these are so scarce, relatively, is

because there were so many oppurtunities for the

potential recipients to lose their lives....

The only CCC in my collection - Junkers in Bronze, warded to Unteroffizier Kurt Bollwahn, 14 Kompanie Inf Regt 44, 28/10/41.

Shot in the head 29/7/44, died 3/8/44, Russia.
