New photos and many questions as always

I got some new photos today. I have a new source and I bought a lot, cause his prices are more than "comfortable".

As always, I have a lot of questions, I hope You don't mind asking me all the time, but if I would know everything, You would not see these interesting photos.

Let's change Your knowledge with my posts here.

1. ) A Russian in Berlin ?

This photo was taken in Berlin. I presume he was Russian.

Can You tell me a bit about the man ?

2.) Landsturm ?? from the 70/71 war ?

I think it's an interesting photo, cause you see a lot of equipment. The photo was taken at Weimar.

3.) A Navy Officer and musician ??

Cause of the "Zweispitz" he must be a Navy Officer, right ? And a musician too ?

The photo was made at G?rlitz which is Saxonia.

4.) Another Navy soldier, also from G?rlitz.

What about his medal ?

5. ) Later General Wiesner in the 1870/71 war

These 5 photos ( one is double ) are showing the later General Wiesner.

I would like to know a bit more about the person.

6.) A prussian General, photo taken at Danzig.

I was thinking that this could be a later photo of Wiesner too. I am not sure.

All photos are from one source, so it is possible, but how much did his face change in about 30 years ?

7.) Photo from exercises dated 1883 !! and made in Lissa. Husars.

Any VIPs on the photo ?

8.) Another General, has name on the back but I can not read it

10.) Changing time and country now

Austrian pilot. Very interesting awards.

There is an inscription on the back, but I can not read it all.

Hauptmann Flosser ????? Chef ???? der k.u.k. ?sterreichischen Fliegerkompanie 27 ( Place ???? September 1917 )

12.) Changing time and country again

An excellent photo. It is Major Gr?ssner.

Look at the order of the turkish star. Isn't that the wrong side to wear it ??

Anything more about Major Gr?ssner ??

13.) R?hm, the Kronprinz and Stahlhelmbund-Leader Seldte

What about the SS-General behind Seldte. He looks familiar to me.

14.) The Kronprinz again.

More interesting are the people at the left. Next to Kronprinz is a NSDAP-Leader and probably Mayor of the town G?rlitz (again). Any infos about him ?

And what organisation is the Sturmbannf?hrer ?? Marine-SA ??

And what about the Reichswehr officer. Neck decoration, Malteser Cross ?? And what is that stripe below ??

Great photos-

#2 I think was taken @ 1865: look at the weapons. Those are very early landwehr-almost Napoleonic looking.

#4: wears the 1870 campaign medal-on the "at home" ribbon and given the size of the navy at this time (small) is rather rare.

#9 1866/1870 campaign medals (nice medal bar)

#9a Hohenzollern 1849 campaign medal?

The Austrian pilots photos are awesome

#13 was taken in the fall of 1933, when The SA incorporated the Stahlhelm and held a series of "assimilation parades". the Crown prince was sniffing around hoping for a monarchical restoration.

I reckon about half the SA in that photo were dead by next Fall.

Very nice photos-especially that Landwehr shot and the navy pic. (and of course the Austrain pilots).

Should you ever wish to sell.....

Would you be so kind as to magnify the medal bars on the SA photos?

Half of these are just little boxes with red X so no clue. Too many not downloading again.

First one is SERBIAN. I don't recognize the cross-- 1878 war with Turkey or?

The bearded Generaloberst with Pour le Merite and oakleaves says "vEckartsberg" on back, but that is not HIS name.

It's the Serbian 1885-1886 Commemorative Cross for the war with Bulgaria.

No-look at the medals etc. I suspect our Muldheim chap will be ecstatic to see him.

That's the crown Princes' ADC: ADC cords, really nice neck order (but what-Thuringian?), the REALLY interesting and rarely worn Schnalle.

In 15.) Some Reichswehr manouevres 1928 the person in the middle of the picture is General der Infanterie von Heye (1926-1930 Chef der Heeresleitung der Reichswehr).

I would like to see a high resolution scan of Hindenburg Orders in this pic !?

To Rick. I don't know why this problem with the pics is still there. Do You still don't see them or is it a temporary thing ?

Don't know what to do. It is all in the same resolution and size as in all my other posts, I always scan in 300 dpi, resize the scan to 1000 pixel at the longest side and save them as Jpeg files with a 80 % reduction. That makes the best compromise between quality and size.

Aah! I was wonder wich star he is wearing and hoped it could be the Houseorder of Hohenzollern, but it looks like Saxon Ernestine Houseorder or may be White Falcon. Thanks!

"That stripe below" is the memory badge for the Kaisers 70th birthday in 1929. The neck decoration could be the Royal House Order of Hohenzollern with swords on the ring. That makes sense, if there was a contact between this officer and the Kaiser in 1929, this could be an award after 1918. So after getting a knight cross of the HOH with X in WWI he got the next higher decoration with X on the ring in the twenties. Daniel could know, if there were such awards after the war. Very nice
