hipnos
This is a Very Good Book in the Iconogrphic sense, but don?t be fooled by the Title...Apart of a Foreword, only the Pics?s legends are Bi-lingual in english, the rest is in Bulgarian. Stogieman
Here's a close-up of the engraved number. There's a spot where an old price sticker was on top of the number. Has anyone heard of a numbered one of these before?

bolgarin
Here's a close-up of the engraved number. There's a spot where an old price sticker was on top of the number. Has anyone heard of a numbered one of these before?Very interesting - number on reverse. I see such thing for the first time. Maybe the owner write on the reverse number of his awarded booklet...... Stogieman
Here's an interesting comparison. Sabi Stefanov Dimov received two Type 1 Order's of The People's Republic. These both came on the later, 1980's type suspension. I was interested in the group as one was very different than any I had seen before. Note the very subtle differences on these awards. It appears we have at the very least; two different dies, possible two different makers. the one with the offset higher center screw post is substantially thicker as well.Pictures are huge:

Ulsterman
Having held these in my hot little paws not more than 4 hours ago, I must say that these were/are beautiful awards! Note the slight casting "bump" or extra flash on the lions' back.
