You can find the crosses from Oldenburg, Braunschweig and Mecklenburg with exactly the same type of pinback. At the moment they appear quite often at ebay. An old thread revived from the dim dark pages after almost 3 years!Technically, there is no such thing as a pinback Anhalt Friedrich Cross. Ferg1 Posted July 18, 2009 Share Posted July 18, 2009 I had one until a year ago,I traded with Weitze for a pilot badge.He still has it for all to view,it is in my opinion a 1930's piece and not one of the straight pinned copies that Rick is warning us about. Comparing the two you will notice the much sharper and better detail of the front of medal especially the crown. (Weitze's piece) It is in fact from the same die as the ribboned examples.
