Guest Rick Research
Blasphemer! Unbeliever! Only Epson is the One True Scanner!!!EXCELLENT scans-- and very possibly the nicest label I've ever seen!
saschaw
Hi, here is a new ribbon bar , not very special at all, a Bavarian officer? First BMVK - EK II - LS hmm is this interesting? The back is more interesting with a makers label from Karlsruhe Josef Goldfarb but still not that exciting ?Well, as a Karlsruher this is exciting enough for me. Never seen a tag by Goldfarb before. Though, this is most likely not an officer's but a NCO's bar with long service award. And, with a Karlsruhe tag he was most likely from Palatinate, not from "real" Bavaria. and very possibly the nicest label I've ever seen! On a ribbon bar or at all? If the latter, I hope I can dig something up for you... BUT... is that the Coat of Arms of the UNITED KINGDOM?! :speechless1: Edited January 11, 2009 by saschaw
saschaw
Unfortunally my father didn't win and it endet anywhere else, though - I hope you like that tag.. PS:I went to Kaiserstra?e last week and looked for house 181, but that isn't anymore. May have been destroyed in WW 1944 as large parts of Karlsruhe, or in the mean time... Claudius
Since we're showing non-godet labels, I thought this photo belonged on this thread.

saschaw
Claudius, nice odd combination. I don't think it were many of those Bavarian medals that went to "foreigners". ;)
