Stogieman
Doesn't matter how often I see this... it infuriates me every time.Of course being sold as 2 lots...who knows where the rest of the orders went.

Stogieman
No, but the transgression is understood. There's currently another set on ebay. medal bar, Ribbon Bar, loose decorations and documents.... named group.Split six-ways from Sunday, every item as a single lot including individual documents....The horror.... Great Dane
'Professional' sellers aren't much better. I remember Zeige's last auction where they sold a cased Commander's Cross as 3 separate lots - the cross, the case and... the small piece of ribbon that had been attached to the cross What's next Zeige? Removing the ring from the cross and selling it separately That bar in post #1 would have been a real beauty in all it's glory /Mike

saschaw
I do not know who won the eBay auction, but I know a fellow member of this forum has a Godet made buttonaire with blue ribbon (LD2?), SEHO, Waldeck and Lippe. I'm pretty sure those (bar and button) are a set... and with the knowledge of the addtional, later awards/ribbons on the bar identifiable as well? medalnet
But those could have all been returned a long time ago. Since everything on there seem to have been piece type decorations....
Stogieman
This bar was recently re-sold.... less the case,

Solomon
No ID for Solomon's buttonaire? Do you mean this nice fellow?I?m still not convienced if the buttonaire belongs to this (destroyed) group. And I didn?t see any evidence that the button and the medalbar were related, although my small nice fellow isn?t IDed yet.Best regardsRoman Edited May 12, 2009 by Solomon
saschaw
I never claimed to have an evedeince... but the combination looks to peculiar to be given twice. Evidence would be: the bar identified and the three other orders awarded after those on your button. ;)
