Gordon Williamson Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 Nice original tallies. One of the few areas still remaining where you can assemble a decent collection without having to spend vast amounts of cash !
2dresq Posted April 12, 2009 Author Posted April 12, 2009 Thanks Mr. Williamson.Glad you approve.2dresq907
2dresq Posted April 12, 2009 Author Posted April 12, 2009 Greetings Gentlemen,I have been in search of the Destroyer Paul Jacobi naval tallie. I have a photo album from a sailor who was assigned to the Paul Jacobi. I would really like to obtain one of these tallies to help complete this display. If you have one and are willing to sell, please contact me. With regards,2dresq
2dresq Posted August 29, 2009 Author Posted August 29, 2009 (edited) I thought I would share some new tallies I have gotten since posting. Regards, JustinG 2dresq Seems like an interest in this area has been increasing. I just laid out over 500euro for the Graf Spee. This was a good deal I thought! I still am looking/waiting for a chance at a some heavy cruisers and the Schlachtschiff tallies. Have a long wait it seems. (sigh) :) Edited August 29, 2009 by 2dresq
2dresq Posted August 29, 2009 Author Posted August 29, 2009 As you can see, I have found the Jacobi tally. :)
Gordon Williamson Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 Your collection is coming along very nicely. You got hold of quite a few real nice tallies in a short space of time. Well done !
storage133 Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 Hello 2dresq, your destroyer cap tallies are realy great. Congrats and good luck for further collecting. Best regards Sto
2dresq Posted August 29, 2009 Author Posted August 29, 2009 Thanks, I appreciate the kind words. This has become my passion lately. Regards, JustinG 2dresq
tranceeyes Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Hey mate.. nice work Have a few more nice tallies on the way myself!! Will post my collection soon as I'm currently filing them into film canisters for storage. Regards JustinC
2dresq Posted September 16, 2009 Author Posted September 16, 2009 I thought I would post my tallies of the two Linienschiff's I have. I am trying to learn how to use the scanner and program to be able to fit the entire tally in one scan. I did not fold the tally for the shot. I just placed it diagonally in the scanner to ensure I could get the most letters. I will continue to keep working on that so I can share full length scans. Regards, JustinG 2dresq
Peter BL Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 Nice tally's guys....my meager collection below...Peter

nesredep Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 Nice tally's guys....my meager collection below...Peter Hello! Very nice KM display. All the best Nesredep.
2dresq Posted November 5, 2009 Author Posted November 5, 2009 I wish to post these U-boat school tallies. I am very fortunate to add these to my collection. Regards, JustinG 2dresq
2dresq Posted November 29, 2009 Author Posted November 29, 2009 I am almost finished with my Kreuzer collection. I just need the Admiral Hipper and of course, the much famed and almost impossible Prinz Eugen. Regards, Justin 2dresq
Paul R Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 That is the most complete collection of tallies I have seen! How much would the Scharnhorst, Bismark, and Prinz Eugen go for? I am sure that Bismark is literally the pinnacle of this field and very very expensive
Peter BL Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 (edited) Hi Paul....Justin's got an amazing collection of these (and I'm after his Gneisenau )....I doubt you'd ever find an original Prinz Eugen and the Bismarck's non-existent. At that point only "Kriegsmarine" tally's were worn. Here's one I picked up a few days ago along with the postcard...any opinions appreciated. KR...Peter Edited December 1, 2009 by Peter Baillie
