Strange Order of the Red Banner?

    Recommended Posts

That was meant that I can get one from a deler with large and crisp pictures that would gaurantee to me it's authenticity for $150 more.

I have never called your piece a fake.

    I didn't buy it, that's all there's to it.

    Respectfully,

    Rusty.

The more I looked at it, something wasn't just right!

It looked good but I had a weird feeling about it...

I decided to pass. I can get a real one for about $150 more.

    Rusty.

Where do you see that I wrote it was a fake?

Did you not read the part where I said: "It looked good..."

Well, like I said privately to several people. I spent several hours trying to find something wrong with it and could not. big, crisp pictures of the front and maybe I would have bid. But this item was outside my area of interest at the moment, so I backed off. Better pictures will always yield better results!

    Dave,

I agree with you I like my medals with a bit of character. I have been toying with the idea of replacing some of ribbons on my medals but decided against it because I think they would lose character.

The thing that gets me about Soviet medals is that the Soviets can produce them to high standards but when alter or repair them they make a mess of them, Is it just me who thinks that?

    Hi

Since my last posts on the Order of Red Banner of Labour and Order of the Red Banner of Labour of the Trans-Causian Republic. I have had then checked out by some one who know a lot about Soviet Medals, Not PMD, he as checked the Enamle uder a 'Black Light'. The enamle didnt shine wich means the medals must have been produced in Soviet Russia, not after the wall came down! :speechless1::speechless1::speechless1:

Has anybody got any more suggetions on the authenticity of these medals?

I have been out of loop for while, so I do apologise now i things have changed in absence from the scene, But I think we will never be 100% sure weather some of these early soviet medals are genuine or not, every one will have there own opinion and personally I am happy to have them in my collection.

I love seeing these early pieces and I think they are asset to any collection.

    Hi Mogul,

I have a large collection of soviet medals and order most of which is on various threads on this forum. To be honest with you I have not had a good look through my medals for a while!

    Vic

I like your order, it looks very good.

I am glad you like it :-) Its just a shame i will never know if its real or not :o It was interesting to see you item here, I do think they are great look pieces. What else do you have in your collection?

    Vic

Most of the stuff. My advice is to consult a good jeweler, he might help with the age of your piece.

How much would this one cost these days? I never wanted to sell, so I never asked.

    I thought you know that...

You said that you bought yours № 39 last year...

As I understand Vic bought his piece in 2006.

It will be very interesting to compare your prices ....

If it is not top secret info of course e4b3dfa26f11398981c879b62407f6d2.gif
