Yes, indeed, death date reported as 3.5 months earlier almost to exact date of the document. Had death card [no photo], cannot find it now. Do not recall other awards other the 1st & 2nd class Iron Cross + another foreign [Romanian or Croatian?] decoration. Bulgarian & other award certificates not with what you see--got only imaged things with paper carefully folded inside case. These collected in Munich {!} in 1986 at flea market from vendor who had no other related items. Should have noted that seal of the unit 'fortuitously' torn off along with possible second seal or related stamp upper right corner.

922F
Thank you Graf! Have you an idea of significance of blue box? I have only 2 and was told they were manufactured by "ROSEN' of Sofia sometime in 1992 by a major Bulgarian collector/researcher I mentioned before but can't remember his name or exact address. Any thoughts? Never heard of "ROSEN" before.

This was likely done right after the war as part of denazification campaign I never saw a box for Bravery order in blue. These must be super rare! " I have only 2 and was told they were manufactured by "ROSEN' of Sofia sometime in 1992 by a major Bulgarian collector/researcher" The blue box looks just like most of WW2 green boxes and has proper signs of aging. Not sure if these were made in 1990s. My guess would be that blue ones were made for aviators, however there's no evidence in support of such theory. 922F
Sorry I was unclear. I got the information about "ROSEN" of Sofia making blue cases from a very senior Bulgarian collector in 1992. The cases themselves look to be otherwise typical [title stamping, interior pad, hinge, and so on] for Boris period.

Sadly i do not have any information about the blue boxes Only i am aware that they are rarer then the standard Green coloured ones. perhaps New World guess could be right Also it is correct that they were made during King Boris III Period I never heard about "Rosen' Firm I am more inclined to believe that they could be made in Hungry then in Bulgaria If you have two it is a very good Regards
Graf
The Blue and the Standard boxes I could not found any difference in the style of the text What is your opinion?
