christerd Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 This came in today , not full of Top Notch Orders but still I think its nice , specially with the makers label on back. Does anyone know which Saxon Regiments who was on the Austrian front ? I suppose the Austrian /Hungary / Tirol combo peaks at that way ? Christer
redeagleorder Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 The Austrian and Hungarian medals could be worn by anyone who payed enough money for them, so they are not truely indicative of service in Austria-Hungary
christerd Posted February 19, 2013 Author Posted February 19, 2013 The Austrian and Hungarian medals could be worn by anyone who payed enough money for them, so they are not truely indicative of service in Austria-Hungary Yes , but was it the same with the Tirol medal , they are at least more uncommon to see on ribbon bars Christer
saschaw Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 From what I know one had to have been in Tyrol to get that one, indeed.
M Hunter Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 From what I know one had to have been in Tyrol to get that one, indeed. This is what I thought also. Very nice medal bar Christer. Best wishes Matt
Deruelle Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 Congrats Chris, this is a very nice medal bar you have there. It will be impossible to find the owner of this bar with such common medals, sorry. Christophe
christerd Posted February 23, 2013 Author Posted February 23, 2013 Thanks all , even a former NCO could walk around in Karlsruhe 1935 with a impressive chest Christer
IrishGunner Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 Very nice bar. I'd be ecstatic to own it. Nicely played.
saschaw Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 Karlsruhe? I read Chemnitz... but some of our local guys probably wore similar impressive chests. ;o)
