paja
Hmm.... any Japanese orders awarded to Serbians? Somehow I completely overlooked your question, unfortunately so far I don't remember seeing Japanese orders. If I dig something up I will post it here Or perhaps it would be better to start a new topic, Serbs with foreign decorations, so that I don't overcrowd this one... Trooper_D
Diplomatic uniform according to regulation from I believe 1931, II class: Counselor and Consul General. Thank you for posting this photo of a diplomatic uniform, Paja. I am fascinated by them and am always interested to see examples from different parts of the world. Do you know of an online source which would set out, in visual form, the specifications followed by Serbian diplomats at this time - or, at least, shows more images of them? paja
Don't mention it, my pleasure. Unfortunately I can't think of any online source like that but if you wish I can post more photos of our diplomats from pre-WW2 era.

paja
This seemed like the best place to post couple of pictures from the exhibition held in Australia two years ago I recently stumbled upon online. "On Sunday, 15th July 2012, the parish of St Sava Mona Vale, commemorated the 100th Anniversary of the Liberation of Kosovo and Metohija (First Balkan War 1912-1913). At the St. Sava Pro-Cathedral the day began with the celebration of the Holy Liturgy by Very Rev. Stavrophor Fr. Saša Radoičić and deacons Nemanja Mrđenovic and Želimir Milović. In the Parish hall an exhibition was prepared of royal orders, decorations, medals and cocardes of the period 1859 to 1941. The collection is substantial and represents one of the best examples of Serbian militaria and royal orders in the southern hemisphere. Keen collectors and enthusiasts are Very Rev Fr Saša and Mr Slavko Marinkov." Artillery captain first class mundir according to the regulations from 1935 most easily recognized by the single row of buttons (before 1935 and from 1939 onward buttons were in two rows). M1939 dagger. Edited July 24, 2014 by paja
