Thanks for posting this remarkable Red Star! Awarded in 1969......any idea why Filipov received this award? Major Sino-Soviet border disputes earlier that year or left-over from '68's Prague Spring?

I believe this was a 25 year anniversery of WW2 award. He was Bulgarian State Security, but not his entire career.

This is indeed a 25th anniversary award, but for the Socialist Revolution of September 9, 1944 rather than WWII.
