JapanX Posted September 8, 2013 Author Posted September 8, 2013 (edited) Yep, I think usually no more than 10%-15% of all unit NOCs had this badge! If you have time, please show to us these photos! Edited September 8, 2013 by JapanX

fukuoka Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 BTW, many of the replicas look very close to the originals. Extra care should be taken when buying.

DavidS Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Here's the badge we got a couple of years ago with the document at post #36. Not a pair, but great to have both.
Paul R Posted September 22, 2013 Posted September 22, 2013 How difficult are these and other proficiency badges to find?
JapanX Posted September 22, 2013 Author Posted September 22, 2013 This particular badge is pretty rare (especially outside Japan). Personally I don't recall a single sale of this badge on eBay in a last few years. In general navy proficiency badges are much more rare than army badges. Among army and navy badges the must common is marksmanship/sharpshooting badge. I think it will be fair to say that army sharpshooting badge can be bought at any given moment (or almost at any given moment ) All others badges are much more scarce. Constantly monitoring eBay section devoted to Japan you will be able to find most common army proficiency badges and some of these 2nd class navy badges (sometimes even cased 1st class! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Very-Rare-NAVY-1st-CLASS-WIRELESS-PROFICIENCY-MEDAL-JAPANESE-JAPAN-BADGE-/360741727203?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item53fde1ebe3 )
JapanX Posted October 28, 2013 Author Posted October 28, 2013 Not very clear picture, but I think it is 下士勤功章
