Jock Auld
Guys, Just rediscovered this in my Army portrait folder, don't remember puting it there! Hucks, it occured to me the signature on the reverse may be useful for the database or it may just be a staff man? More your bag than mine! Wouldn't mind finding the sign.... Jock:)
hucks216
Nice photo for the Stab of II/SS-TIR 2. Not sure how possible it would be to identify the signature though.
Jock Auld
No worries, I'm happy with the picture just thinking of your database, as stated it could be any one of the people pictured or even someone else. I know you have an eye for it thats all. Cheers.
hucks216
I've had a look through the command positions for II/SS-TIR 2 and can't se any name that would fit that signature. It might just be one of the soldiers who is sending a photo home to the family. At around this time the II Btl commander was SS-Hstuf Karl Kummer followed by SS-Hstuf Max Dallinger. Paul R
Great photo! I notice that they do not have any combat decorations yet?
