13K coin found doesn't sell newspapers I suppose. Time will tell at the end of the day it's only worth what someone is prepared to pay for it.

It books in the standard reference work at $12,000 in extremely fine condition. It appears to be a very nice example but much over £10,000 will be an exceptional price. Still I wouldn't mind finding something like that. Usually all UK metal detectors find is crotal bells and brooch pins.
