I can't say I have seen a photo of someone in the Wasserzoll before. Nice clear image. What colour would the waffenfarbe be on his cap?

From what I can find out it would be the Zoll green. It appears the only difference between a "land" and a "wasser" were the anchor buttons and they have crossed anchors on the shoulder boards.

Thanks guys! I agree with Laurence. Landzoll uniform with anchor buttons instead of RFV and crossed anchor cyphers on boards.

Would the buttons be the same colour as KM ones?

He does look a little young to be wearing the Hindenburg cross. Could he be wearing his father's HC ribbon?
