Luke J Posted April 6, 2021 Posted April 6, 2021 I recently acquired this small grouping and was hoping to shed some light on who the original recipient was. As you can see in the pictures listed below he was active in ww1 and ww2 and also received a knights cross. I have no further info on this guy and was hoping to find out who he was. Any info is greatly apricated! best regards Luke
David M Posted April 6, 2021 Posted April 6, 2021 There could not be to many RK's with the name Rolf I reckon....
Beau Newman Posted April 6, 2021 Posted April 6, 2021 The Hessian War Decoration in Iron below the Iron Cross 1st would lead me to believe that he was a Hessian or served in a unit with a Hessian connection.
webr55 Posted April 6, 2021 Posted April 6, 2021 I think this is Oberst Rolf-Günther Bickel (1891-1954). He served in the Hessian FAR 61. HHOX 1917 DKiG 20.07.1943 RK 08.08.1944
Nicolas7507 Posted April 6, 2021 Posted April 6, 2021 It is Bickel. His estate w as sold in 2016 including the bar of OP.
Luke J Posted April 6, 2021 Author Posted April 6, 2021 Thank you guys! I really apricate it a lot. Is there a possibility on who bought the lot? or who has the other bar? I have his medal bar and I have a cloth DKIG and the smaller 4 place bar but it would be great to add that larger bar.
VtwinVince Posted April 6, 2021 Posted April 6, 2021 Looks like another Nachlass torn to shreds. Sigh.
