    Royal Wedding in 1940's

Since this is a German wedding you might be better off to post it on one of the German forums.  Since the man stands on the brides side who was being married could help.  He looks a little old to be the brides father.  Possibly grandfather?  Nice foto.

    Regards,

    Gordon

Hello and thanks for your replies. Yes this man is a general, and the bald fellow beside him is Duke Adolf Friedrich of Mecklenburg. The bald man in the foreground is Friedrich Franz IV von Mecklenburg-Schwerin. But I don't know the name of anyone else I'm afraid.

This is the wedding of Prince Friedrich Ferdinand of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg and Duchess Anastasia of Mecklenburg Schwerin. It did not take place in 1940, but rather a year later in September 1941. The gentelman that you try to identify is the father of the groom, Prince Albert zu Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg. The SS-officer directly behind the groom is his brother-law, Friedrich Franz, Hereditary Grand Duke of Mecklenburg-Schwerin. I actually own this/the same photo...
