Sorry, I think the total for 1866 is around 200 produced by Rothe, so a rare variant.

Such a great piece and with the original ribbon to boot! The pictures are great but I know it’s always better when you have it in your hands! Congratulations!

I don’t think the ribbon is 1866, but rather a later add on. No UV reaction but probably a WW1 strip of ribbon. I can’t capture the Rothe mark with my phone, but it’s there.

Ah, that’s too bad, but needless to say, even with this being the case, the ribbon still compliments it’s nicely. 

I love the nice dark original patina!
