Stogieman Posted December 13, 2023 Posted December 13, 2023 Can someone with access to Nimmergut check on award numbers for the Silver St. Henry Medal please? For 1866 please. Thanks for your help!
VtwinVince Posted December 13, 2023 Posted December 13, 2023 Interesting piece Rick. Sorry, I think the total for 1866 is around 200 produced by Rothe, so a rare variant.
Giannis S. Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 261 awards are stated here: Medal of the Military Order of St. Henry in Silver
Stogieman Posted December 14, 2023 Author Posted December 14, 2023 That’s a great link and very helpful, thanks!
Stogieman Posted December 15, 2023 Author Posted December 15, 2023 I reached out to the seller to try and negotiate but he knows exactly what he’s in possession of, no joy! Have to think about this!
Stogieman Posted December 15, 2023 Author Posted December 15, 2023 Yeah, I saw that but thanks! Tough to put a value on this one
Stogieman Posted December 17, 2023 Author Posted December 17, 2023 Going back and forth in negotiations

Stogieman Posted December 28, 2023 Author Posted December 28, 2023 Love and in person! Just arrived from Germany! 1
91-old-inf-reg Posted December 28, 2023 Posted December 28, 2023 Such a great piece and with the original ribbon to boot! The pictures are great but I know it’s always better when you have it in your hands! Congratulations!
Stogieman Posted December 28, 2023 Author Posted December 28, 2023 I don’t think the ribbon is 1866, but rather a later add on. No UV reaction but probably a WW1 strip of ribbon. I can’t capture the Rothe mark with my phone, but it’s there.
91-old-inf-reg Posted December 28, 2023 Posted December 28, 2023 (edited) Ah, that’s too bad, but needless to say, even with this being the case, the ribbon still compliments it’s nicely. I love the nice dark original patina! Edited December 28, 2023 by 91-old-inf-reg
