Bob Posted October 8, 2009 Author Posted October 8, 2009 Hello, I would like to add two pictures of the numbered Skanderbeg III Class, recently added to my collection. It is made of silver; its measurements are: heigth: mm 48,0 width: mm 47,8 Award no. 3444. Best wishes, Enzo Enzo - are you sure this is silver? I just noticed it has two rivets... all the other silver IKOM numbered ones I've seen or in my collection do not have those rivets. Combined with the numbering which is an outlier (high as well as style), I suspect this one raises some questions.
Zaim Qyteza Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Dear all, I thought that the third grade of Scanderbeg order numbered, existed until 999, but ... I bought a few days ago in Tirana this exemplar. Regards, Artan
jeffskea Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Here is my new Order of Skanderbeg 2nd Class, and according to Eric Shena's reference book looks like the type 2, var. 3 by PRAWEMA.
Belaruski Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 I just got this Skanderbeg 1st class today, A nice Prawema screwback, but the central medallion is gold too. Is this a known variation, common/scarce etc. or a mistake!?
Belaruski Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Another angle. It's all very nicely made and the gold colour is consistent, it hasn't been painted on later!

paja Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 If I'm not mistaken 1st class is made out of .950 silver (silver fineness hallmark - rooster in square).
paja Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 (edited) "Ordes and Medals of the Communist Albania" (Ордена и медали коммунистической Албании) contains a mistake regarding silver hallmarks. Description given bellow is wrong. It should be like this: Rooster in square = 950/1000 Rooster in pentagon = 900/1000 Rooster in hexagon = 800/1000 Cover of the book LINK Edited February 11, 2017 by paja
