I really like that M51. I have never seen one of those before. Also, those are some amazing medal bars.

I really like that M51. I have never seen one of those before. Also, those are some amazing medal bars.

Those Yugoslav M51 submachine guns (cal 7.62mm), also known as Matić-Cvetić prototypes, were made especially for the Day of the Army (22. December) in a very limited number and were given to high officials, Tito's generals. I have read somewhere that the name of the receiver was inscribed on every piece.

Last year I was able to see in person and take a picture of the piece that used to belong to General Koča Popović.

After the death of Prince Arsen, brother of King Petar I, his son Prince Pavle (Prince Paul of Yugoslavia) gave all of his decorations to the Military Museum. Today only 4 of them are still kept in the museum, everything else was lost after the war.

Thanks Paul, even though there are a lot of museums in Serbia most of their websites are unfortunately either obsolete or very poor when it comes to presentation. Whatever I manage to find I'll put here. :)

Greetings Rogi, here are couple of pictures of that decoration from the Military Museum. By the way there is a scarce Medal of Queen Draga on ebay right now, starting price was 0.99$ and it went up to almost 2.000$!

Radmilo,

I hope it was right because there are some dangerous forgeries of Dragas about and given the short lived time of the Order if right $2,000 doesn't seem excessive.

Greetings Paul,

I believe that the medal that was on ebay was genuine. I don't like using pictures from ebay but here goes.
