    1. Here an officers cross, model after 1952, made by van Laerebeke, Brussels,gilt silver

Here a few knight crosses, the one left with the little crown is one of the first types 2nd model "Belgian model" with the belgian arms in the center and the motto "l'union fait la force" The crown is the same as the first models of the Congo free State withe the arms of "l'Etat ind?pendant du Congo" with the motte "Travaille et progres" see here The ribbon is olso of the first type, small black line, see the difference with the other two. The last one is an model after 1952, the motto is in French and Dutch, befor it was only in french.

Sorry, but normally there can not be swords on the civilian division, it has to be a Military divission (swords bestween the cross an the crown) , but it happens more , so the palm is only for the military division and the golden stripe(s) ans stars on the ribbon are only for the civilian division

The needle is OK, the marks and de model of needle depends of the juweller who made it, some place the silver mark, some times there own mark, on de older pieces you can find on the center of the back a little plate with the name of the juweller ans his address, like Wolfers, De Vigne-Hart, Heremans, etc;;

The problem is that in may 2002 the belgian gouvernement got back after 60 year their own archiefs from Russia, see Archief from Moscow and second part This archive has been stollen by the Germans in 1940, recuperated by the Russians in 1945. Its is only in 2000-2001 that a belgian researcher found back this archive in Moscow. It was not easy to got back that archive to Belgium. It is about 6 trucs full of paper For all this an inventory has to be made, it is a titan work, in the documentation center only 2 persons works on a little resarch, normaly when you are going there you have to do the research yourself. And I think Vatjan is doing a good job on that point
