    6. Indeed, I need to find the time to do it, the list is very long indeed of what i have to do :-(
    7. Hi, a question, Did Leser make these up to and after 1945? If so, was it possible that they made replacement pieces like this in the 30s or 40s? We must differentiate between private purchase (for veterans) and fake (to fool collectors)... Best Chris
    8. OK, Finally..... my entry into the most unusual medals for service in the German Army..... These awarded for service in a Garde Regiment 14-18. I suspect he had the EK2 as well as he suffered a major wound and this usually qualified.
    9. The Jaeger Monument with crossed G98 and Lebel, you can see how valuable the peak was from the view in the background....
    10. The Hartmannsweilerkopf is a mountain in Alsace, it is one of the "Niche" battlefields. Of immense tactical value, it was the scene of bloody fighting, but no progress from 1914-18. In some areas the front lines were just a few meters from each other. have 2 articles up about the H.K. up for background... A flamethrower attack... http://www.kaiserscross.com/40029/78001.html and a general overview that needs reworking... http://www.kaiserscross.com/40047/41321.html
    11. Thanks to a fantastic surprise from Don I have managed to more or less double my Verdun "snaps from above"... Over the next few weeks I am going to try and match them with my trench maps.... Here is a relatively untouched Fleury in March 1916
    12. Does not get much better than this.... dont know which I would prefer, the sleeve patch or the werfer???
    13. What a bummer, there is no regt history for this unit :-(
    14. I will see if I can dig up an old medals yearbook, maybe they mention awards to Germans as well...
    15. Hi, In that condition, signature faded off, maybe about EUR20 to someone who wants the regiment, best Chris
    16. Hi Karsten, now that you say it, i am not sure... It is possible that it was another British award. For some reason i think it may have been somewhere in East Afrika, but also recieved one of the Africa medals with a special clasp somewhere between 1900 and 1910... Is there a list of such officers? i.e. those who recieved british campaign awards?
