    1. There was a guy some years ago on Ebay selling a group to a german officer with the West Africa 1908 bar. Also his WW1 stuff. He was if i remember correctly a POW in Russia, escaped, had an article written about him. I exchanged mails back and forth with him, trying to figure out a trade, but in the end someone else got it all. as a Boobie prize i got an extra EK1 from the group and a beer bug with EK deckle... Stupidly, stupidy, stupidy i lost the name of the guy :-(
    2. If you are unlucky... he will want it back.... maybe stolen from his quarters at Ong Dong in 1969.... if you are lucky, he gave up smoking 30 years ago and no longer needs it ;-)
    3. You have to look really hard to find a Haube with a more vertical peak than that!! it points almost straight down!!

    5. Nice, as I said, could be an officers, maybe bought for his company clerk to use...(the name plate of the maker makes me think not issue), could be civilian, could be for a Govt official somewhere out in the bush. Nice item
    6. Countries with colonies often had "military outfitters" which sold items specially concieved to make overseas service more comfortable. If this is not an issue item, it may well be something commercially made for travellers or soldiers/officers....
