    1. Ahhh... achtung... I said I like them as much, but I would obviously not pay as much... ;-)
    2. It is a really good book. If only every small unit had a history like this.....
    3. Fantastic find. I used to have some LW books for some flight crew guys who were KIA... but for this it is a superb piece indeed!!!
    4. I like my private pieces as much as my issue ones :-)
    5. Ugh... that is a fine selection of Feldgrau!
    6. I love the IG14 straps... it was the batterie Batterie Hieronymus... there is a book about them, many members are listed. I have an EK1 doc to an NCO of the batterie
    7. Nice piece Bolle!! Is it a private purchase piece or issue?
    8. Nice! I had a DSO group to an officer who commanded Skinners horse and displayed it with the same print... here is some more about the regiment...
    9. Hi, it is a travel order but not a discharge document. You also get something similar when your contract is finished and you are taing any extra leave saved up. Best Chris
    10. Hi, do you think a period wearers copy or a modern copy? Best Chris
    11. Very nice! For some reason I think I have seen these sometime ago...
    12. Hi, I had not read the back in ages and had slipped into the thought that it was from the Leib Regt to all who had served with them in the Tirol, then reading it again last week I thought "Hang on, its to the Austrians...." I am also pretty sure it was post war, there was a Leiber Treffen in the early 20s where the Austrians were invited.
    13. I think the Bene Merenti one is listed as a Spangenstück as opposed to an award piece. Man... when I see his pic I am kinda happy that I dont have a pic with my group... :-)
    14. no problem, go ahead... or post them here as there may be more opinions
    15. From the pic I am thinking when he straightens his arm it is not an upright 5 but a turned to the right quite a bit.... could it have been a regimental thing that company numbers were worn for a very short time in the regiment? I assume it must have been for some identification within the unit, for a short time, and maybe only guys within the regt would have known what it meant?
    16. Hi, It does not need to be a red flag, some units issued the docs without stamps, and on some docs the stamp has just faded off....
    17. This is a fantastic pic.... but something tells me I would not like to be standing in front of him when he starts shooting that C96......
    18. This pops up quite often, but I have not found any info on it.... If I understand it correctly, it seems to be from the Leib Regiment to the Austrian Allies who defended Tirol with them?
