    1. Funny you should mention this... Major Max Bayer reports of the headquaters column fighting at hamakari in an almost standard work on the campaign If I remember correctly, so did Freier? And Peter Moore? Maybe both Moor and Freier are works of fiction?
    2. Hi, it just looks like a little nipple. Easier probably just to make one. best Chris
    3. No one know????
    4. The Paradefangschnur is of extreme Historical importance, of all things Military there is nothing that old Willi was prouder of than his Navy. I would say this is a most symbolic piece indeed.
    5. OK, found it again. Will give it a shot..... hold thumbs for me...
    6. Hi, they came with the Shoulder straps, could they be from the same guy? Best Chris
    7. Outstanding!! (Just need to jump on the badwagon here and say... well ...."Outstanding!!!") Nice stuff indeed!!
    8. That is a nice jacket. Is it not difficult to tell if some guy did not just add the wings last week?
    9. As someone who is not "Into" the uniform thing... 2 things confuse me... how to tell the difference between the 101 and 110 (Looks the same to me( and how do you get the II Batln? (Is that a II at the bottom? Thanks Chris
    10. Nice, and what an unusual pin !!!
    11. Hi, Is it possible to say who would have worn these? Thanks Chris
    12. I guess you mean recipients that the average guy on the street would know, as opposed to guys war buffs would have heard of?
    13. Does anyone have a pic of the Spanish army wound badge and know if Germans were awarded this? A friend found one in a junk shop in the area here and wonders if it is a WW2 spanish one and if it possible it was worn by a LC vet?
    14. Well, at least they did not have the horrible suprise of realising that they had forgotten to take the beer out of the freezer and that they would have to wait for it to more or less defrost to be able to drink one.... EVERYONE has problems.... :-)
    15. With thanks to Tom Young... http://www.kaiserscross.com/60401/69564.html
    16. What about any British MC or DSO group from WW2
    17. Hi, our visitors are arriving, but the link so long. Will get to more later http://www.denkmalprojekt.org/Verlustliste...r5_rohr_wk1.htm It is Schwerin but arranged A-Z instead of by unit.
    18. OK, I was able to confirm this (more or less) today. Rohr ersatz came from ERSTAZ Pionier Battailon 35 (and I assume 36). Anyone have more info on this?
    19. Hi, the Rohr list is availible for free online. Why do you think it is incomplete? best Chris p.s. wasnt Reddemann stationed at the Kaisers HQ? I would not put too much value in him editing and still being a fire director. Max Bayer fought from 1914 to his death in FRONTLINE units... still managed to edit three books and be the head of the german Boyscout association.... how much he actually DID in this period is another question. I know you dont like von Schwerin because he does not mention FW enough. I dont like him because he does not mention my Leutnant. d.Res. at all... agreed his book is thin... but its all we have. The man should be thanked for producing it, without it we would have nothing. I find Reddemanns book to be just as thin and "un-juicy". Some Regt histories are not much better.
