Harry has a fantastic Side Show detailing the Japanese Advance towards Kohima in 1944 An addition to the “Leiber Ring” article showing a Pre War Commercial Ring by the firm Deschler in München A collection of German Feldpost parcels from WW1, An unusual selection featuring the various ways used to send food parcels to the soldiers at the front. The Feldpost stuff is very interesting if you have always just thought of Letters when you heard Feldpost... -
The Leib Regt Histolry says a Lions Head for the offirers ring and a ILR mongram on the inside. We would need clear photos of rings worn by Epp to maybe see one? Or ferdinand schörner

Hi, He got the manschaftsring in Jan 1919, but is also on the list for the officers ring, recuieved 1920. I wish i could find a photo of the officers ring!!

Hi, Its interesting to see the Schutztrupp Bandollier fully addapted for the SA forces or SAP post WW1. The little Buckle where the Bayonet Frog has been adapted for the Lee Enfield Bayonet for instance. Best Chris -

The infuriating side (not related to this) is the difference between how buyers and sellers are treated.... I bought a Telescope some years ago.... the seller was not happy with the price and refused to sell.... I complained to ebay, they said "its his item, he can decide, my only recourse would be to go to small claims court." On the ebay side, the only sanction would be my negative comment. However, if I bought an item, then decided I did not want it and did not pay, then I would get an official Ebay warning. I left a negative comment.... but this was erased by ebay. Having said that, I have had many, many, many good transactions..... 1% have been bad..... -

Hi, He/She/it sent me a seperate mail saying I could pay for registered, by then i had paid, It set off a slight alarm bell, but I figured... what can go wrong.... 2 weeks later, I asked "have you mailed..." They said "Yes, but you did not pay registered...." Then they said the postoffice was researching.... (A non registered letter??? What a load of bollox!) Then I saw, they had 11 transactions as a seller, already one other thing lost, and one complaint about broken items/bad descriptions.... So money down the toilet.....
