First off, sorry about the spoils but these are so nice I dont want them lifted before I decide how to use them... Some original postcard size artwork from a well known German Postcard designer and graphis designer.... Hope you find them as cool as I do!!!!!

on the 8th of December he had Rifle Bullet wounds in the Ribs, in XXX and the spine. Does it then say he spent the 8th until 10th "Auf dem FeldX" before travelling top the field hospital on the 10th? Thanks Chris

Hi, thats fantastic, an example of rushing to get him the award before he dies. I have a similar group, officer dying of a bad face wound in 1914... they tripped over thenselves to award him the EK2, bavarian MVO4th class and Zähringer Löwen before he died. Also another nice example of a XI Korps doc, the earliest ones are all from early 1916, many for awards made from 1914.

In retrospect i dont think they used to have any with the big EK on it. I shoulda realised it when i had them in my hands for the first time but I did not look closely. i bought a box of 10... I use them to keep loose badges and groups in now.

I guess there are a number of possibilities? Maybe a jewller who had a supply of RAO4 but a big demand for RAO4X ? Is there such a price difference that it makes it worth to add swords nowdays?
