    1. Interesting bar. Interesting thread. We have not had very many discussions of Brit awards to Germans yet!! I will keep an interested eye on this one. Nice acquisition Christian!
    2. Hi Claudio, I saw this one too..... pretty amazing how many vet medals he mounted up!
    3. That is indeed a Bavarian 15-Year LSC mounted on a Prussian LS ribbon, repeated on the miniature.
    4. Moved to Mongolian as this is a Mongolian Badge, albeit one that is often awarded to Soviet personnel.
    5. But, if you were someone special....... sometimes the Kaiser was known to hand it out like this!
    6. Of course, one cannot think about the Centennial Medal without considering it in its' Prinzen-Gr??e size of about 30mm. Despite the fact that this style of medal/decoration was usually used by nobility and high ranking officers to make room, as it were, for their many decorations. Many oridinary soldiers/recipients opted for this reduced format piece!
    7. Bayoswede! Same Gentleman as the eBay Bayoswede?? Welcome to the Forum!!
    8. Agreed, often not just the EK2 clasp, but a KVK ribbon at the buttonhole. I currently have a WW1/2 group. Medal Bar (mint!), matching ribbon bar (mint!). Second ribbon bar adds the KVK2wX.... but he apparently did not update the medal bar!
    9. Werner! Willkommen zu Forum! Dank f?r das Teilen einiges von Ihrem Ordensspangen! Willkommen mein Freund!
    10. Hi Gerd, pretty nice group, especially with the Friendship Medal mounted like that. I've only seen them loose/cased, never one mounted before!
    11. What the heck is a 50% rule?? The clip in the head I understand completely!
    12. I really use to equate Soviet with crude. But the attention to detail on even things as inconsequential as a rank brick, or a unit device is just unbelievable......... I am very much enjoying learning about this rather exciting new area!
    13. I don't think folks realize the rarity of the variations on this medal.... I have this one now, reverse "F?r Treue Dienst"
    14. We've discussed this bar before in depth, including with better photos. I believe that might have taken place on WAF though........
    15. Fantastic piece Andreas... not just because of the miniature bar, but with the "Lion Order, 2.kl. Very special!
    16. Hey Rick, can you scan the tabs and the chevrons? Thanks!
    17. Nice bar! We see the Kriegshilfdienst medal on hessian ribbon bars often..... quite a bit harder to actually find one hanging off the medal bar!! Excellent choice!
    18. Hi Bob, can you grab the photo of the website, it shows the cover of the book... very sweet!
