Haber desarrollado durante a?os, desde responsabilidades en el Estado, el Gobierno y la sociedad, v?nculos a favor del trabajo de la prensa y de la UPEC. La Presidencia nacional de la UPEC evaluar? por separado cada una de las solicitudes recibidas y por mayor?a simple de votos determinar? el otorgamiento, aplazamiento, o denegaci?n de la Distinci?n. En caso de los denegados o aplazados, se argumentar?n los motivos, que se informar?n a los solicitantes e incluir?n en archivo. La Presidencia nacional de la UPEC puede, de oficio, sin necesidad de solicitud presentada, analizar cualquier candidato propuesto por uno de sus miembros o por miembros del Comit? Nacional de la UPEC que consideren re?ne m?ritos para recibir la Distinci?n. Excepcionalmente, la Presidencia nacional de la UPEC puede analizar propuestas de otorgamiento a periodistas cubanos o extranjeros que sin poseer el requisito de tiempo establecido, re?nan m?ritos de gran relevancia. A ese efecto, se argumentar? ampliamente sobre dichos m?ritos y la condici?n de excepcionalidad. La Presidencia Nacional puede analizar la entrega de la Distinci?n F?lix Elmuza a ciudadanos cubanos o extranjeros que reuniendo los requisitos de tiempo y m?ritos, actualmente no se encuentren en activo como periodistas, sea por desempe?ar otras responsabilidades p?blicas o por jubilaci?n. Igualmente, podr? aprobar entregas post mortem. Las solicitudes provenientes de las delegaciones de base y provinciales, deben ser remitidas con su correspondiente acuerdo, al Departamento de Organizaci?n de la UPEC nacional, antes del 15 de febrero de cada a?o, con vistas a su an?lisis con suficiente tiempo. La Distinci?n F?lix Elmuza se les impondr? a los galardonados en ceremonias solemnes organizadas por la UPEC cada a?o, a prop?sito de la Jornada por el D?a de la Prensa Cubana, el 14 de marzo. I've seen images of a few different types. My best guess would be the earliest examples are silver gilt. Later examples are tombak(?). There's a couple of different variations of enamel on the suspension as well.

I've spent a lot of money and time over the years trying to re-unite split groups, split aviation photo albums etc. The only incident I've seen that was worse than this was a German eBay seller who tore apart an aviation photo album. He cut out the pictures from the labeled pages.... ruining pix on the other side, tearing and ruining some of the images and then throwing away the pages!!! So much for history....

If these are loose awards, and not mounted, how do you even know they belong "together"? I think 225- Euro is rather high for the MVK1 as well.

I guess I really am just an old-fashioned person at heart. I much prefer the 2 earlier designs. I can certainly understand the changes. The cost and labor involved in producing the early designs of each of the orders must have simply become prohibitive at some point.

It has always been my opinion that the gold ek lidded cases were leftover stock from 1870-1900. I believe the ones with the "nail-head" push button to be original assembled cases and the ones like this with the simpler "barrel" button to be assembled early-war from parts. There's always a marked tendency for these earlier cases to warp out of alignment.
