    1. I would say it is well, and was proudly worn. Now to find the Gold with the same setup....
    2. As a follow up to the silver badge here is a recent pickup- a black one with the same reverse setup. This style setup is attributed to GWL and can be found on thier WW2 PABs and GABs.
    3. Thanks for the additional info. Do you know if any of those units published a history?
    4. And the reverse. I'm currently reading the Nigel book. He has his moments where he grinds an axe but overall it is a good read on this little known period in time.
    5. Why assume 18? Many men started their careers alot younger back then.
    6. That would be the one to have.
    7. An original issue piece in bad condition. You can easily find better.
    8. Thanks Rick- this is the spelling I have for him. Do you know if there is a regimental history published for Arty Rgt 13?
    9. I've seen that alot, and not just on the eks but other awards as well. I believe it was a personal statement about the recently defunct monarchy. Since they didn't make new awards ala the 57er versions they chose to turn them around and put the symbol of royalty out of sight. JMHO though with no proof either way.
    10. Any information on Unterofficer Huber and the actions that led to his earning the Wurt. GMMM would be greatly apprieciated. Anyone with a copy of the regimental history that could send scans of the appropriate pages (Jan 1918) would be my hero. thanks
    11. This is for Chris because I know he likes stuff like this:
    12. The scanner makes it appear more bronzish than it is in hand.
    13. How about this one? Weight is 13.4 gm. Marked 333 on the ring.
    14. I would consider that cheap. When was the last time you saw a boxed one?
    15. I would love to know where you can find an 1870 EK2 for 250 euros.
    16. Both nice crosses. The left appears TR sized when compared to the other.
    17. The only thing more suspect than the badges he sells are the COAs he sends with them. That is one minefield I'll stay out of.
    18. That was my thought also. Thanks for everyones time.
