    1. Many pics are showing Summer eagles on different kind of jackets, shirts and even caps.. I've seen them sofar on the white 4 pocket jacket, but also on leather jackets, tropical jackets, HBT jackets, flight blouse, the 4 pocket garbadine, shirts and Winter caps.. Here's a strange one.. A General with Summer eagle over the triangular shirt eagle.. Jos.
    2. Hi Folks, Nice classic stuff ! John, I love the buntmetal drooptail, they're great quality. Then the aluminum small A DRGM, nice one too.. Then one with a crimped in hinge.., scarce, but not rare.., nice bird. I think Ramckes eagle is a gold one, but heavily polished, so it might look like silver.., compared to his gold buttons the color is closer than compared to the frame of his KC, no ? Wood, Classic late war zinker, nice original. I asked for diffent makers, but in fact I should've said different patterns, because we'll not see any makermarks other than Assmann, I'm afraid.. At the moment I've 8 different makers and I think I've seen 4 others over the years , which makes 12.. Only the Assmann's were marked and I've seen one drooptail marked Steinhauer & Luck . I've 2 different eagles with crimped in hinge and 2 plated in KupAl, aluminum covered with a sheet of silver plated copper.. Like to find more patterns in future. Will post some soon. Jos.
    3. Yup, throw them in, please.. Check your tackle boxes etc.. Zink, aluminum, buntmetal, silver, gold..., early, mid- or late war.. Originals or fakes.. Good shape or bend.. Even railway eagles with a needle system.. I can take them all. Just open those drawers and expose your Summer luft eagles, please. Also era pics are welcome. I'm waiting.. ♪♫♪ Jos.
    4. Nice couple, Eric.. I love buntmetal for its quality and detail etc, while zink shows the real aspects of war to me. In fact zink badges have a lot of character, even the totally grey ones.. I always liked them and still do. Jos.
    5. I'd be curious to see more details.., inside of the lamp, inside of the head of the lamp and what seems to be a switch... if possible, please ? Jos.
    6. Paul has a theory that might be true, jacket didn't made it to the tailor, but on the other hand... I've seen officers shoulderboards combined with NCO collar configuration.. and it was in era pics.. Not as a rule, but don't be surprised to find odd things during those days. We always like it textbook, but Germans didn't care simply because they didn't collect TR, they just had it and used it. I'm always happy to see non-textbook things, especially in era pics ...it's something that can't be ignored nor protected by the theories we or postwar books sometimes have. Same with cloth badges, sometimes they're sewn completely on the wrong place..., but not as bad as re-enactors with Narvik shields sewn on their breast, I think some of these people really don't care as long as there're doughnuts and beer around.. Great set-up though.. Jos.
    7. Yes, pics come from Ebay, but maybe we now have the chance to meet the owner... Jos.
    8. That's very nice stuff, Bill.., are you going to display this on a female mannequin ? I would ! Jos.
    9. Here's one I've to compare.. Except for the dark blue backing it's the same eagle. Jos.
    10. I think it's Ok.. I've a similar one removed from a cap and the weaving structure on the back is just fine. There are quite some patterns around. Jos.
    11. Yellow collartabs can look very dark in certain pics.., it has something to do with a certain process those days ... For details concerning this process better ask a person in the photo hobby, they'll probably know how it's called. Jos.
    12. I've no clue, but on the era pic you can see K20 on the holder, so maybe yes there was a reason.. Jos.
    13. I've no clue if they used the fuel (Benzin) for cookers, most cookers I know operate on Espit fuel tabs.., think they're also visible in the first pic , no ?.., just behind the pan. While a survival item, maybe they used it to make a fire ? Think only matches will not work on a rainy day.. Just a thought.. Maybe the stuff in the pic is for bomber crew, I see 4 alu waterbottles. Jos.
