    1. Hello, Kiesslings last rank was Sergeant and he was woundet in june 1918. Possibly, he became later the woundbadge.
    2. Hello, nice bavarian collection, but there are some clarifications. The third class from Hemmerle has "lost" his swords. The first class MVK is a Deschler-cross. Deschler hasn't produced this class during the wartime. The second class crown-swords is also a Deschler production, it is a original one. The MVO seems to be a post-war production. Can you show me the front and the backsite in a bigger foto?
    3. Hello Westfale, is there the owners name or the unit on the backside of the foto ? Regars Andreas
    4. Hallo Rudi, super Stücke hast Du da bekommen. Gruß Andreas
    5. Hello Chris, there is one post war variation from the manufacturer Lauer. He wrote his name below the rim. I want to know if it is the name or an embossed error. Look here is a possible for the Lauer marking.
    6. Hallo Chris, now I believe, that the bars are from two soldiers. The bar with four decorations were propably reworked by his owner. Please show me the back of the servicemedal from the 4 bar in a bigger picture. Is there on the rim a embossed error?
    7. Hello Chris, very nice bar's from the 12th bavarian infantery regiment "Prinz Arnulf". They look pretty good. Possibly, the bars are from the same owner. The bar with three decorations worn in the wartime. The four-decoration bar was sewed after 1934. Can you show us the backside?
    8. Hello azyeoman, the MVK is a post-war variant like this example from the manufacturer Steinhauer & Lück. Can you showme the ringholder of the MVK on the bar in posting #206 The cross looks very golden, but it is a third class, which was colured copper. Regards Andreas
    9. Hello, the veteran's medal is from Weiler-Simmerberg http://www.weiler-simmerberg.de/ It is a bavarian bar and I think the crown will show the attachment of the owner to the bavarian king. Regards Andreas
    10. Hello, the MVO is a Hemmerle with silver golden medaillons. Can someone translate the clasp on the türkish ribbon? It is strange, that the turkish ribbon is in the middle. The bar itself but it looks pretty good. Regards Andreas
    11. Hello, the new picture is not really better, but I think it is a zinc-cross coloured with copper. For a short time, the MVK's had been produced in this way. Is this cross made frome one piece ? It will be better to see the ringholder of the backside. Regards Andreas
    12. Hi John, please put a greater images of MVK. With reference to the small images, I can't determine it , but I suspect it is a post-war MVK. Regards Andreas
    13. Hello, I have to look, when the crown of the MVO was awarded. I think it was also in 1905. On the bar, I'm missing the Centenarmedal. The officer has the servicemedal for 24 years, so the medal was given to him. Regards Andreas
    14. Hello, missing is the first class crown and swords for Feldwebelleutnante and officians in the bavarian ministry of war. Regards Andreas
    15. Hello, a very nice bar. The stamp on the backside is from the manufacturer Hemmerle. The MVO has a pre-war ribbon. Sorry, that I can't identify the owner. Regards Andreas
    16. Hello Alan, here the weights of my MVO's 4th class/ swords with golden medaillon. JL ( the same typ 1) 24,38 g Hemmerle 27,70 g Weiss 30,00 g Sorry but I have no third class and higher and also no weights of these class. Regards Andreas
    17. Hello Alan, I know only the manufactureres Leser and Hemmerle for the first class crown and swords, who made this class in wartime. The crosses are only the early variations. This cross had been awarded to 150 - 160 people, and it was returnable. It is a very rare class and very expensive. Weiss made only first classes with swords. Here my piece from Weiss with retrofittet Hemmerle swords. Regards Andreas
    18. Hello Alan, the fourth class was shaped of one piece of silver. The third class and higher was made of gold. The flames of the third class and higher were made hollow. So the cross is even lighter than the fourth class. The flames used separately. From 1917 on, only silver plated crosses had been manufactured, the flames were also hollow. Look a picture of the fixing of the flames. Regards Andreas Sorry, but I have to delete this picture, because I haven't ask the owner.
    19. Hello Alan, this is a fourth class. The marking 980 is for silver. The flames should have no fixing with the crossarm. This type of MVO is an early type with golden frame and medaillon, but the third class is marked with 570 ( for gold). The golden color can also be patina. Regards Andreas
    20. Hello, nice Leser MVO. I think it is a fourth class. Can you show me a detailpicture from the fixing of the flames. Are they fix with the crossarm? Regards Andreas
    21. Hello, I wouldn't buy this cross. Weiss produced the first class, but not with crown. Look at the enamel at the belt, that looks very ugly. Regards Andreas
    22. Hello Christer, the big Hemmerle-box is verry intersting. I've never seen such a big box from Hemmerle. The type of closure I know so do not even. Can you even show a better picture of the manufacturers stamp on the inside. The blue boxes were replaced from the red paper-boxes at the end of war. The red boxes were much cheaper to produce. Nice cross. I would date the Hemmerle Cross in 1916. Regards Andreas
    23. Hello Don, that's the problem. I would exclude the producer Godet, but I don't know the other producers in the 20th and 30th. A lot of medals were "faked" in the 80th and 90th. Regards Andreas
    24. Hello Don, do you know the age of this kind of copy? There is no FEK on the bar, so it would be sewed before 1934. Regards Andreas
