    1. Can you send me a pm with the pictures, I'll translate it later Just have to remember, hence the pm
    2. It has diamonds....I would wonder what other breast badge/set of first class with diamonds would go under a mil? You can get a small diamond ring for that much now a days...so a full set, probably over the amount
    3. Very cool I have something similar (except 1 page) in one of my US groupings Fantastic find
    4. Thank you so much Boris your kind words are greatly appreciated. I've noticed that your other hobby is maps Have you been able to make a Korean Map?
    5. Looks like a rail conductors cap (this is from a totally in-experience cap collector lol) just reminds me of it for some reason wait until the experts chime in
    6. No idea if you can or not, but you could try to ask Auke (Ferdinand on GMIC) he is one of the individuals that you can order from so he would know the status of the archives
    7. Fantastic collection of Orders of Bravery Radmilo Its been a busy week so far but I have to add in this one from my MT Pukovnik Peronja's collection Serial number 74634 Great idea for a Bravery Order thread and reverse: I think this is a great idea because we can then establish from where abouts certain Orders date from. Which without the archive and very little resources elsewhere will prove even more valuable for Yugoslavian collectors in the future.
    8. Thank you all so much, your kind comments and support are greatly appreciated It was a very long process to get her to that stage I usually work in 1/48 and a jump back to my old 1/72 was nice the scribing of panel lines was by far the hardest thing I've done, but when it goes well it looks amazing, almost turned the house into a plastic sand box lol Thank goodness for blue prints and patience The biggest thing I learned on this project was to take my time, no rush and she'll turn out good now for my next model I'll have to make her even better
    9. Thank you guys for the input and advice it is greatly appreciated can't wait for further discussion on this group very interesting indeed It is sad a lot of archival research is not possible for these kinds of groups.
    10. Its in our culture I guess after WW2 training was stepped up. I mean scouts in Yugoslavia was where you learned to shoot and hunt/survive. Not like in US and Canada's version where they teach you how to light a fire, etc I'd be curious on which side he took. We can only stipulate and estimate at this time I guess without further documents
    11. May very well be, but on what side? He is Croatian by name, but was very pro Yugoslavia during his career (if we just look at this section of the group) How old would he be by then if we assume he was 20 or 30 during WW2 ? It brings up some very interesting questions Really satisfied with the entire group, so cool
    12. The Order of Brotherhood and Unity with Silver Wreath (2nd Class):This one has a very cool treat Along with the Awarding document: Is the Archival document (I've blotted out the special issueing numbers): Order of Work with Golden Wreath (2nd class): and Last but not least Pukovnik Peronja's Ribbon Bar: Thank you all for looking through, any comments are appreciated Best Regards, Igor
    13. The Order of National Merit: The Order of Bravery: The Order of Military Merit with Golden Swords (2nd Class): Order of the People's Army with Golden Star (2nd class):
    14. So I picked up this magnificent group on ebay really cool and a wonderful addition to my collection, I hope you guys enjoy it spans his entire career Huge Thanks to Radmilo who ended up helping me a huge amount and was the person that recommended I pick this one up Thank you my good friend This is the first post of medals and orders I've made since Rick's passing and I hope he would of liked it I enjoyed talking about Soviet, Yugoslavian and Imperial German medal bars with him, Thank you Rick for the good times and teaching us so much. I present Pukovnik (Colonel) and Engineer of the JRM (Yugoslavian Navy) Peronja, Jurga, Grgo (Grgi?) some of the documents list his name with minor changes (maybe dialect specific?) so if anyone could let me know his first, middle and last name that would be great I think first name is Grgo then middle Jurga and last Peronja. His nationality is Croatian? He served in the Yugoslavian Partisans and later in Yugoslavia. Pukovnik Peronja's Photo: First Silver Plaque (for 20 years service?) and document: Then a commemoration plaque from Partisan Veteran's association: document: Now Commemorative medals, for the Yugoslavian Army, 10, 20, 30 and 40 years front and rear: I've left them in the protective package they were shipped in: Now for his higher orders and medals, I'll start from when they were awarded: Medal for Bravery, I overdid the image in one post so I'll have to continue this after lunch More to come Please don't post until I update won't be long
    15. Thank you all for the kind words, here are some more pictures that I took this morning Now its time to take some pictures and post that Yugoslavian Group I got in a couple days ago! First a picture of the seatbelts up close while I was building the model: and some finished shots this morning: Thank you all for coming in and checking this out
    16. Thank you both for the kind words I used a aluminium paint shot through my airbrush Really satisfied with the result. I'll get some close ups later
    17. I finished this Academy 1/72 F-86F-30 "Mile's Bird" this morning, thought I'd share just in time too I've been running a bit late on updates in the modeling forum I visit but its been because of my constant work on this aircraft I love attending our competition here in Ottawa, CAPCON 2013 ! I really wanted a Korean War aircraft and Mike's Bird caught my eye. It took a lot of work and patience for it to come out looking like it did and unfortunately time flew by even when working on her. Sometimes you get 1 mistake you can't live with and you go back and fix it, well I had about 30 mistakes and imperfections on this model that I couldn't live with Here are a couple things done to her: Fully re-scribed panel lines Airbrushed, Checker Tail and Yellow/Black Identification stripes (plus the silver/metal finish) Scratch built Tail lights and seatbelt. Here is 1 picture for now until I get to uploading more tomorrow Hope you guys enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it
    18. Some people have typical characteristics of douche bags, so therefore they must be? <- this concensus? The medal looks fine to me, and so what if the suspension might be a later addition. It looks like it should belong on it in the first place. I'm reminded of that Black Pearl in the pawn shop that was sold as a "cosmetic jewellery" piece, one day a lady walks in and noticed it, buys it and gets it appraised and tested, virtually flawless natural black Pearl. Some of the "experts" are wrong at times. Is there any other argument to this specific piece being fake?
    19. It is so difficult Once you star faking all those Ks and Js and As look the same *that's my explanation for it
    20. Paul has summed it up perfectly more dealers do this than collectors that I've seen People who don't enjoy the hobby and just want to make a quick profit.
