Rank Pips
Jock Auld replied to Jock Auld's topic in Germany: Third Reich: Uniforms, Headwear, Insignia & Equipment
Bernhard, It just made me chuckle that these stamps that I had to get a magnifying glass to see properly are even there on such a small item. 3 of them are Party and the 2 aluminium ones appear to be military probably army with maker mark and date stamp. I think compliance with regulations is a very German illness? Happy New Year! -

Guys, I never knew these things were marked on the reverse, no wonder they lost the war! A few of the gold ones are RZM marked with contract M1/153. Like who would even look behind a pip? -

A HAPAG plate today, made by KPM and also DAF marked as they were something to do with KdF? I think KdF was a subordinate department within the DAF?

No it looks to me like mine a Luftwaffe Signals NCO cap. The Flak piping is a stronger red colour so I think signals (orange red colour) ie a radio or telephone bloke. You just need an eagle to complete it. -

Ian, Perhaps if you post him in the imperial section too as the lads there are pretty sharp on this sort of thing?
